Does anyone know any good exercises for loose skin? Quick ones that work pretty quickly. I lost about 75 lbs over the year last year and need to trim down the loose skin but its a little harder at 58 to do that now.

IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO TIGHTENED THEIR SKIN AND HAVE SOME METHOD THEY USED, PLEASE ADD IT. AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

It 'necessary to the exercise, exercises for the abdominals, buttocks, and for the arms. For the loose skin cream for a good relaxation and keep well. For excess skin there's nothing to do but a cosmetic surgery. The muscle becomes flaccid, making him work hard, but unfortunately for the excess skin there's nothing else to do.

Joanie, first of all congratulations! Secondly, everyone that I have known who has lost a ton of weight, myself NOT included, has not been able to get rid of the excess skin without surgery. Some just had to have little nips and tucks, but others had to have major loose skin cut away. But, they look beautiful now. Good luck with your continued journey!

Oh boy. I hope there is another way. Too po to buy surgery. Don't think I can snag a rich fella with this extra stuff. lol As if. Last thing I would ever consider. I am told I am still very attractive and you can't tell from outside that I have this loose stuff, but off the clothes and oh my. Tummy stuff and upper tum has some loose stuff which makes me look fat still. Can work on the upper but the bottom is difficult. I have to say it has shrunken some over time, but ever so slowly. Some loose on the lower arm but that too can be worked on. Its more a slight loose muscle than skin.
But around the middle of tum is def skin. Muscle isn't as bad.
But I have found some exercise books so i am going to look thru them. I
ll share if I find something good. Thanks ladies for your help.

Joanie, have same problem lost 75lbs. since July 2011, same age as you so the way I'm trying is DVD's on toning, strengthening,firming,flexibility, to gain energy. At my age and state of health I don't expect miracles, nor do I plan on wearing Bathing suits for all to see. So I can be content to feel good in clothes, and to be healthy.Trying Jane Fondas new exercise dvd's, used them years ago before and during pregnancy, what I like is they are low impact. Also trying some toning with weights and yoga for beginners dvd's. Just starting so I let you know how it goes.

You have to get sick, and want to be well. That was my motivation, was tired of feeling fat, unhealthy, hated going out in public because people don't treat over weight people as if they are human.
Went to my doctor and asked for help, we discussed all the options and I chose a medication to help suppress my appetite, took only half a dose once a day.Weighed myself every morning, counted calories fat, sugar, sodium, kept a daily journal on everything that went into my mouth. At first it was hard but when I lost 17lbs the first month it got easier. Can't eat out much at least not where I live, one meal would be more cals. than what I was having in a day. I no longer take the medication, but still weigh myself, keep the journal, eat healthy, but have desserts once in awhile, eat out now and then but no fast foods, even enjoy a cocktail now and then. haven't gained a lb. back but haven't lost much either. Right now I'm happy my metabolism seems to be maintaining my weight without to much effort. Still hope to lose 20lbs by June.
