I thought that lady was Angel but I was wrong. There's a strong resemlance there. Next thing you know nutso will be saying that blonde is me. There's definitely a lot of drawbacks to being blonde. LOL

This may sound strange, but that women in blue dress (although good looking) looks too old for George!!! Laughing at myself when that thought popped into my head, maybe it's her style (hair, and make-up) that makes her look too old for him, or too many years and pics of him with younger women for my brain to accept. Looks like he's saying something to her out of the side of his mouth, you'll be my next "The One" in the tabloids by tomorrow!

I'd like to see George with an older woman but the woman in the blue dress looks too, not old, but serious.

Maybe she's his Australian bodyguard. Kind of has the same watchfulness as Gio. LOL

Some older women I could accept, don't think one in her late 30's or 40-45 would be too old for me, but doubt George would agree with me. Think the woman would need to be more modern. What about it IT'S ME, what your opinion?

In true tabloid fashion, George's name is still being used to create a story even after he has left the country. What are we - Italian? There is video of the suite George staryed in at the link

Darling of a view for high rollers at The Star's new penthouse villa

THIS is the first look inside Sydney's pitch to win the lion's share of the $60 billion a year Australian casino high-rollers market - The Star's first completed penthouse villa at its new luxury hotel, The Darling.

The only person to stay here so far has been Hollywood heart-throb George Clooney - who used the suite last Sunday and Monday nights during his flying visit to Sydney.

For average punters who turn up off the street, the room's price tag is "more than $15,000 a night", The Star's general manager of hotels Drew Schlesinger said. He quickly added: "If you need to ask the price, this is not the place for you."

But for celebrities like Clooney or the high rollers The Star is trying to lure away from other Asian casino hotspots like Macau, it comes free of charge. Those who are eligible routinely bet hundreds of thousands in a single session.

Currently, the Sydney casino generates $15 billion a year in high-roller turnover, or 25 per cent of the market in Australia - well below Melbourne's Crown casino.

However, The Star's boss Sid Vaikunta has estimated the opening of the penthouse suites at the hotel, new high-rollers gaming rooms and new luxury planes to jet in "whales" from Asia, will help propel its share of VIP turnover above 40 per cent to $25 billion a year.

The early signs have been strong. In the four months from July 1 to October 31 - when most of The Star's main attractions had not yet opened - VIP gaming revenues rose by 15 per cent on last year. In return for a willingness to bet their fortunes, gambling VIPs receive free flights on one of The Star's two Global Express corporate jets, an at-call luxury Bentley, a media room, fireplaces, hand-made drinking glasses, a 24-hour butler, personal chefs, and virtually any other service requested.

Four other penthouses at the 171-room Darling - due to be finished in the next fortnight - will each have their own 24-hour private gaming salons, complete with blackjack table and any other casino games they want to play. Fat Prophets casino analyst Greg Fraser said this raised the spectre of VIPs "sitting at their own gaming tables in pyjamas".

Mr Schlesinger said the VIP upgrade would grow the size of the high-rollers market in Australia: "Our aim is to attract as many high-end gaming customers from anywhere in the world. It is not just targeted at Crown, but any other high-end casino internationally."

All new high-roller offerings at The Star - including a new high-rollers' room at the top of the casino's main tower - will be open by January 31.

Mr Fraser said this timing was designed to coincide with the Chinese New Year holiday.

When Maggie Beer met George Clooney

GEORGE Clooney only spent 48 hours in Sydney, but it was enough time for chef Maggie Beer to meet him.

"I'm just a little bit starstruck," a giggling strangely schoolgirlish Maggie confessed after her meeting.

George was in Sydney to speak at the Global Leadership Forum at the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour alongside other notables including hip-hop legend Russell Simmons and home-making maven Martha Stewart, who doubtless also caught Maggie's attention.

Before his speech at the Forum, George had lunch with a room packed with mostly women, including Maggie, who each paid $1100 for the "private' audience.

"He actually looks you in the eye and says `hello' and, you know, that's exciting," Maggie gushed.

Similar sentiments were shared by fellow South Aussie fashion photographer Leah McQueen, who now lives in New York but flew to Sydney especially for some Clooney action.

"Handsome, charming, witty, oh my God, he is damn near perfect, really" she said. "He's really captivating. I was riveted."

But the best fan response to gorgeous George's visit has to go to comedian Wil Anderson, who blamed the star's visit for Sydney's hideous weather this week (which has persisted for the arrival of tycoon Bill Gates) tweeting: "George Clooney is in Sydney. That isn't rain in the sky, that's just God crying at how hot he is".

I don't think we have something else about this (dated 2011) :

Casino Celebrities Leonardo DiCaprio And George Clooney Do Sydney; Spider-Man Tobey Hides From Media; Melbourne Next?

A number of the world's most famous and talented Hollywood movies stars (and social and community entrepreneurs) have recently been spotted on Australian soil, in 'Sin City' Sydney no less. Who are we talking about. Just Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney.

These boys are fast and hard to nail down, with both the ladies and news media we understand, so by the time you read this, Clooney might be back to Hollywood in the U.S and 'Our Leo' (affectionate) might have hopped a lear jet back to the States, or maybe he's hiding out back at The Star (ex Star City Casino), where 'Georgy Boy' (affectionate satire) has also been spotted.

Both DiCaprio and Clooney have a thing for casinos. DiCaprio has played quite a bit of Hollywood Poker in his time, getting some major headlines in media including TMZ, as well as did the Rounders poker movie back in 1998. Clooney of course played Danny Ocean Ocean's Eleven (and 12 and 13). Movie and history buffs will be interested to know that in the 1960's version of Ocean's Eleven Danny was played by Frank Sinatra, and he was joined by four other members of the original Rat Pack: Peter Lawford, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Joey Bishop.

Ok, back to matters at hand in Sydney...

George Clooney and Sid Vaikunta

George Clooney

Clooney was in town last week doing his talk at Darling Habour Convention Centre (the one where people paid up to $1100 a ticket). His girlfriend, former WWE wrestling diva Stacy Keibler, did not come. It's not like they are married and have to be side by side 24/7. Keibler is understood to be more keen on a full time commitment type of thing than Clooney at this stage of the game.

Being a bit of casino fan, Clooney made time to meet with The Star’s managing director, Sid Vaikunta at The Darling hotel, where George Clooney was the hotel's virgin (first) customer to stay in the hotel’s new luxurious penthouse suite. The Darling is 'Sin City' Sydney’s latest and greatest five-star boutique hotel and is a paramount part of The Star’s $870 million master plan which is focussed on expansion, refurbishment and The Star being known as a premier Australian integrated hotel - casino - resort and entertainment hub, comparable to the best that Las Vegas and Macau have to offer. The Star and The Darling want their casino whales, but they are also happy to have dolphins and regular punters. Celeb, casino whale, food lover, poker professional or just passing by - The Star wants you!
