Dissecting George Clooney's Arm Candy Assembly Line

Thanks Henway for the link. Fox News HATE George, so yes, it's a bit biased to make him look bad.

Dissecting George Clooney's Arm Candy Assembly Line

By Jo Piazza

Published October 25, 2011

No man has perfected the art of the girlfriend swap better than George Clooney.

The two-time People sexiest man alive has turned relationships into an assembly line of amore, wherein older (but still really hot) models are turned in for new ones with clockwork efficiency.

And it goes a little something like this:

1. The Classy Kiss Off

George breaks up with an extraordinarily beautiful but waaaay less famous lady, calmly and cordially.

Case in point: Elisabetta Canalis. To close the chapter on his recent Italian model, he and Canalis released a joint statement to US Weekly magazine stating: "It's very difficult and very personal and we hope everyone can respect our privacy.”

Nice.

2. The Mum, Humbled Ex

With a cyborg efficiency, the Clooney ex nobly bows her head in defeat and goes gamely into that good night with nary a bad word. Canalis joined “Dancing With the Stars,” would say nothing about Clooney, and was out after the first round.

Insiders tell FOX411.com that his women would never think of bad mouthing Clooney because he treats them so well during their relationship, and never promises more than a brief love affair.

3. Single and Silent

Clooney then retreats for period of private relationship mourning. He lays low for a month in Como ... or Darfur. His fans imagine he is healing his broken heart, licking his wounds. But in reality, he's lining up the next piece of arm candy.

4. He’s Dating Who?

A few months later, we hear whisperings of a new lady, equally as obscure as the first, but even more beautiful, but in an entirely different way.

Clooney went from spunky sexy Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sarah Larson to the composed Elisabetta Canalis, all curves and pouty Mediteranean lips. Then he surprised everyone by trading Canalis for an all-American professional wrestler (!) with a low public profile—Stacy Keibler.

5. New Model Roll Out

The public introduction of Clooney’s new gal is meticulous. We hear it before we see it.

In August an “insider” told OK! Magazine that "George cooked dinner for Stacy and it was a short visit….she didn't spend the night…They watched ‘True Blood’ on demand."

Then photos appear of Clooney and new not-very-famous person out for a casual night on the town. “The first picture anyone ever saw of George and Stacy was released from Getty. That’s not a real paparazzi agency. That was a set up. That is a released image,” one celebrity magazine editor told Fox411 “That is a publicity still of his life, of the George Clooney story.”

Once appetites are whetted and positive reviews are in, it’s time for an official stroll: the red carpet appearance. On October 17, George and Stacy went to the New York Film Festival’s premiere of “The Descendants.” “That’s when you know it is serious. when he takes her to a premiere,” the magazine editor said. “Going to a premiere is like George’s equivalent of a normal person taking someone home to meet their parents.”

6. The Relationship Exists

Now they’re an item … for a time.

Clooney was with Sarah Larson for a year, from 2007 to 2008, and Canalis for exactly two years, from June 2009 to June 2011. Applying the law of averages, Kiebler has a shelf life of approximately 18 months.

She can look forward to months of copious trips to Clooney’s house in Como, film festivals, and charitable jaunts around the globe.

Who could blame a gal?

7. Clooney Disappears

With Canalis, cracks started to show when she spent time alone at the Cannes film festival last May.

Clooney’s girlfriend at Cannes alone? That spells trouble.

Cue the nonconfrontational breakup. Rinse, and repeat.

So what’s behind Clooney’s Girlfriend-O-Matic?

“The reason George Clooney is able to go from beautiful girlfriend to beautiful girlfriend without a break in between is because he's not expecting any of his romantic relationships to last and he's keeping the women at a distance,” dating and relationship expert Tracey Steinberg explained to Fox411. “He doesn't want to get married again (he admits he's not good at it) so when his relationships don't work out, he is fine, because he never emotionally invested in any of them in the first place.”

“My advice to Stacy Keibler is to enjoy the trips to his Italian villa,” Steinberg added. “But don't expect your own drawer...ever.”

You certainly know his love life pattern better than me but I get different “vibes” from this relationship.
First she went public with him really quickly, and we heard about their relationship way too early IMO, so I do believe that they’ve been together long before the end of his relationship with Elisabetta.
I don’t know, maybe she had enough of being kept secret so he presented her to the world to thank her for her silence or something.
Besides I don’t know what to think about the two red carpets she did alone (if someone could explain me that would be great)
Second thing he made a comment on his private life to defend IMO Stacy and make sure that everybody knows that he is with her (the supposed angry sms from Elisabetta).
Third thing in the interview posted by Lateval he gives a feature of her personality when he says that she is as secretive as he is (I don’t remember him saying anything about his former girlfriends).
And finally, I keep reading articles about why Clooney won’t marry her or why it won’t last between them whereas with the others ladies usually after 2 months we get sources and “insiders” talking about secret wedding planned for Christmas, summer ….
So that tells me that she is handling it much better than the others. I think she understood how he worked and she is making it work pretty good.

IMO that relationship is different from the others and I tend to believe that Stacy is more and more likely to be the one he will settle down with.

This is only the personal interpretation of a poor girl who is bored to death and has nothing better to do today than over-analyzing Smile

Excuse my English, I’m not really sure everything I said is clear, though i'm not sure i could explain it in french neither and it's my mother tongue.

I can't buy the Stacy is secretive stuff simply because it was her friends who let everyone know they were seeing each other so early on. Her twitter and then the they are going to Cabo and he is throwing her a big birthday party all came from her side, weeks before they happened. TMZ even got shots of her driving into or out of his house no other girl has had that. So Stacy is not secretive and I do think this started out as a fling then has gone a little further cause George for some reason thought he needed a girl on his arm.

I still think Eli had something to do with George making some of the choices he has. Eli wasn't able to start any rumours etc saying she and George might get back together etc while she was on DWTS because the George and Stacy show was on and was done in a very public release of non candid and shots which looked staged. If George was really into Stacy he would have kept it quiet for sometime. I actually think the opposite I think she isn't going to be around very long and that is why he has played things different. Stacy did walk a couple of carpets alone and there are several places he didn't even take her and for some reason some nights he still chooses not too.

George wouldn't settle with Stacy because Stacy has made it clear in the past that she want's something George will never give her. Stacy has a goal to be a stay at home mother. And her being 32 I don't see her as really being silly enough to waste a couple of years with George who everybody knows doesn't want marriage or children. Stacy to me seems more like a short term girlfriend who knows her time is limited. She still has twitter and is still selling and earning money of her tweets she has just increased her fee if she really thought she was going to be around George a long time would she really be bothering? According to sources she is supposed to be worth 4 and half million dollars. To me it's a little odd someone worth that much is using these sorts of ways to earn every bit of cash she can.

Fox news hate George it is so clear. They have gotten a few of these little observations wrong for starters it was a matter of weeks between Stacy and Eli not the usual several months. We have never seen George and Stacy out on the town together. And I think everyone by now knows that George showing up with a girl on the red carpet means nothing at all these days as does them meeting his parents or him meeting theirs. Just Eli how well that worked out for her!

I also think she will be around for a while s I don't know why just a feeling I have I don't think he will marry her though. She has to support herself whatever she has may be for her future so I can understand her continuing to work and make money. Also at 32 she isProbably aware that her options for work are getting smaller.

I think he's treated Cracy more like an escort than a gf, compared to Eli. Actually, she hasn't even been called "gf" that much, mostly gal pal, lady love, latest love, etc. The first two carpets, didn't walk with her - she came in alone, left through a side door. He never left Eli alone on a carpet while he went back to greet fans, and in alot of places, Eli was more well known than Cray, so she could very well have posed by herself. No bike rides, dinners, etc. She seems more like a girl on call than a love interest.
I think that "I'm so independent, one of the guys" thing is gonna come back and bite her in the butt.
Seems like he treats her like she's more disposable than the others...

IMO right now George is in a transition period between acting or directing jobs and stacy is a convenient relationship. If he was off in another part of the world or country acting or directing he gets very busy and a girl is a second thought. Yes, you might see her around the set once and awhile, but between premieres and award shows and acting or directing the relationship would not be so obvious. With surgery coming up and maybe not an actual directing job or acting job until maybe next spring this is a good time for some arm candy. Also, for Stacy i think she is in a dating loll. Even a pretty girl worth some money did not have any potential mates so what the hey she will go out with George. I think for Stacy it is career suicide for her, she might earn some money now but she will always be known as George clooney's ex and the girl after EC. Even if they stay together for years or get married, it might be fun to have all the attention, but it will get to her and she will loose her identity.

Since Stacy has stated that she wants to be a stay at home mother and is pretty sure George isn't going to give her that, she's just having fun right now and earning a bit extra at the same time. This builds her nest egg for the future and when "Mr. Right" appears on her horizon, she'll be able to achieve her dreams. Maybe her dreams just evolve around being Mrs. Right, having his babies and having the proverbial "cottage with the white picket fence", joining the PTA, getting involved with her kids' activities, like sports, scouting, etc.
She could just be "having fun" the way younger women do, before they take that "final step" into an adult world of responsibility.

Is George on his way to turning into Jack Nicholson???

At 75, Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson no longer hits the town like he did in his skirt-chasing heyday – instead the party comes to him!

“Jack still goes for wild women, late-night boozefests and gambling – only now everything goes down at his LA estate,” a pal close to Jack told The Enquirer. “Unless it’s for a Lakers game or work, Jack rarely leaves his house. But he’s certainly not retired from the night life. He has all the latest movies sent over, and with his incredible chef and extensive wine cellar, there’s always plenty of food and booze on hand if he’s in the mood for a spontaneous house party!”

Jack still keeps a flock of gorgeous young actresses and model-types on speed-dial.

“Jack refers to them as his ‘lady-friends’,” said the source. “He likes to believe that he’s a ‘mentor’ to these sexy young women, and he covers their rent or car payments if they need it just to make sure they’re available when he wants female company.”

While Jack is embracing his golden years, “that doesn’t mean Jack is slacking off chasing women,” added the source. “Jack may have turned into a homebody, but his version of ‘staying in’ could put younger players to shame! He’s the coolest, AARP card-carrying, stay-at-home bad boy in town!”

Apparently from the print edition of the National Enqurier - located through Celebitchy write up about Jack here

Since George has made it clear that he does not want to marry, it doesn't really matter who he gets involved with. I don't think Stacy will be around next year, because George gets tired of his ladies after a while.

I don't understand why it has to be a choice between two extremes: get married or have a revolving door installed in his bedroom. There's a happy medium, isn't there? One that doesn't make him look increasingly "dirty old man" -ish?

True, and I think that's more or less where George is in his personal life (at least, publicly). I mean, Stacy for one year, Elisabetta for two, a year off, Sarah Larson for a year.

I don't think that exactly qualifies as a revolving door.

Of course, what goes on behind the scenes may be another story entirely with George swinging from the chandeliers on a nightly basis with a bevy of different partners, but that's all speculation. His public image is one partner for a reasonably long time after another.

Married, revolving bedroom door or happy medium?

In a way his past choices make him look ultimate, the most wanted bachelor (intended or not). Down side to it is that there are names that stick with his name like stains…

To be married or having revolving bedroom door doesn’t sound like two extremes to me. Actually and unfortunately it means the same sometimes. During my work life, at the hobbies etc. I have seen it happen constantly, married men, if they are any good looking, fun and know how to talk to women – they can be active, meaning picking up women as much and as fast as they can. More confident and straight forward than any single guys are.

At this point every married woman will say “not my husband!”

How it works (to my experience only this past month): 3 married men, the very same line. “Is there anything I can help you with? Here is my personal mobile number/email. Just ANYTHING, do not hesitate to contact me” and they give you the long look. All happened in a situation where we both are connected to each other via work issue or that he is working and I am a client. Totally unnecessary to give any other numbers or email addresses than I already know from their business cards….so the ball’s in your court- that’s how they play it. And there always will be women who play along….

Not sure what the happy medium is? People that compromise a lot?

Also it is funny how men are called "dirty old men" but women cougars (in positive tone)... Very Happy
