George Clooney linked to Out of Sight sequel

George Clooney has been approached to star in a sequel to 1998 movie Out Of Sight.

The 49-year-old American actor appeared alongside Jennifer Lopez in the crime movie, which was directed by Steven Soderbergh and tells the story of bank robber Jack Foley who breaks out of jail and kidnaps a US Marshall who he becomes attracted to.

The film was based on a novel of the same name penned by Elmore Leonard, and the 85-year-old crime writer has revealed he wants George to star in a sequel to the movie which would be based on his 2009 book Road Dogs, which continues following the adventures of Jack.

It is not yet known whether George would be interested in the project though, so for now little has been put in place for a possible sequel.

"Clooney is one of the few actors who can deliver the words exactly the way that I heard them when I wrote them," he told British newspaper The Daily Mail.

"I've sent the new book to George. The role is the same guy as Out Of Sight. I don't know if he's read it yet though."

Meanwhile, George has also been in the headlines lately because single actress Jennifer Aniston has been teasing she would like to marry him.

The Hollywood beauty admits she gets fed up with being asked about her love life, and thinks that a sham marriage to George, who is currently linked to Italian model-and-actress Elisabetta Canalis, would stop people asking her about romance.

"That would definitely shut up the world! I could call up George, say, 'Hun, let's just get hitched and have kids,'" Jennifer told Red magazine. "I should take George to lunch and we can figure out how to put an end to all this. Ha!"
