Elisabetta Canalis: George Clooney and I Aren't Having Kids | Elisabetta Canalis, George Clooney

A junior version of George Clooney sounds adorable – to everyone but his girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis.

The Italian model-actress, 32, who has been dating the Oscar winner since 2009, said she doesn't plan on having any kids with her "American boyfriend."

"[Getting pregnant has] never been an objective for me," Canalis tells the Italian edition of Cosmopolitan. "My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs."

No surprise there: Clooney, 49, has previously shared the same sentiment about skipping out on fatherhood – and another wedding, after being married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.

Instead, Canalis is living her life in Los Angeles in the fast lane – literally. As a pastime, the couple likes to hit the road on Clooney's motorcycle.

"We love the coast, the Pacific Highway, with its rocks, the surfers and the ocean," she says.

And when they're not enjoying one-on-one time, she says she has no problem staying in the passenger's seat. "It's relaxing," she adds.

"I love it to bits," she says. "I am happy to participate at events as the 'girlfriend of.' "

While Canalis won't be to specific as to what that role entails, she does provide one hint: Pointing out the difference between Italian and American men, she says it comes down to three words.

More stupid impossible, only one person so frivolous and empty can make such comments. The love of a child is incomparable. Dogs can be part of a family, but never take the place of a child.

This is Elisabetta today at the San Remo Song Festival in Italy. I think she’s hosting the event. Or something. All I can see from the photos are several costume changes and a weird bit she did with her shoes off in leather pants. Italian entertainment is the most f-cking crazy ass amazingness ever.

This article has been all over the blog sphere today. Some of the comments are hysterical. IMO it was "remarkable" that the timing of the release happened during the festival. There was also another article that GC and EC were asked to do a joint underwear ad. That was quickly denied by GC's rep. The story was reported on Gossip Cop.

He isn't going to say it publicly he never does. It actually sounds desperate and when you consider the games she has played and friends "quotes" about how happy she would be to have a child and not worry about marriage it is quite a backpeddle. May be too little too late!

Remember how Lisa Snowdon wanted to marry and have children, but whenever she was dating George she'd turn round say how she didn't want marriage or children but once they split up, suddenly she did want a family all over again. Then they went out together and she'd changed her mind - until they split up again.

They're just saying in public what they think he wants to hear.

Yep it took Eli awhile to get the memo. Once they split she will be back to wanting marriage and kids. I'm sure her folks would not be thrilled to hear this. Does anyone have the article (I think from early last summer) that she actually gave an interview. The one were George thanked them for speaking to her. It was an Italian article/ magazine. I thought in it there was a mention of family. That it would be nice someday to have kids etc...
Any one remeber this or have it?

MAJOR backpeddling. This reeks of desperation to me. She's putting it out in print that she Doesn't want kids, that she's happy to be "the girlfriend of.."
Her rant about being in the states too long, now she misses her country, after saying that American men are better emotionally, and eluding that George tells her that he loves her....
In almost all of her previous interviews, she talked about having a family (wasn't that long ago that the mags were saying she was gonna have his baby without marriage, after Stan the Man shot down all her bad attempts at an engagement rumour). She knows she's on her way out, something is definitely up. The next month should be interesting....

I'm not a fan of hers but lots of people have been predicting the end and as far as we know it hasn't ended. The lady knows how to work this opportunity. She has gotten a tremendous amount of publicity and seemingly a lot of work. Whatever their relationship is/has been, she has made the most of it.

What else is left for her to suck at? She isn't a model, doesn't want to do TV and she has done badly as a presenter. Eli also only likes to work a day or two at a time and in a real job it is usually expected you work for a whole week at a time. George won't support her if he was willing to do that on a long term basis he would marry her. He also doesn't like to be bothered when he is working. Hopefully she has someone else lined up for this dream cause I don't see George happy about her just staying at home and shopping! She actually hasn't been in the US that much and when it is over is she planning on staying in the US, why? She hasn't gotten any work after Leverage and her english just isn't good enough for the movies. If her own boyfriend won't put her in his then no one will. This girl is just so stupid!
